POSITION SUMMARY
Crew Leader is an experienced landscaping professional who is knowledgeable in all aspects of lawn & landscaping. A Crew Leaders main objective is to lead a crew of 2 to 4 team members to properly maintain properties while meeting or beating budgeted man hour goals. Crew leaders are able to work efficiently with minimal supervision and uphold safe working environments for crew members.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Expectations include, but are not limited to the following:
· Lead on all lawn maintenance jobsites.
· Operate lawn mowers, lawn equipment, large trucks, and pulling trailers.
· Prepping and installing landscapes and hardscapes.
· Ability to train new employees on company expectations and standards.
· Meet man hour goals for each project.
· Keep an organized jobsite, truck, and professional appearance at all times.
· Demonstrate leadership qualities, train and organize crews.
· Complying with safety/employment regulations interpreted in employee manuals and/or other work related documents.
· Mandatory attendance to work related functions if required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
· Clean criminal background.
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Minimum 2 years experience in professional lawn and landscaping industry.
· Ability to work independently and complete tasks in timely manner.
· Ability to lift heavy object an walk/stand for long periods of time.
· Excellent leadership and verbal communication skills.
· Industry Certifications:
· CPR and First Aid Certified (can train on job).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION
The physical requirements delineated herein are imperative for the Crew Leader to effectively fulfill the duties and responsibilities inherent to this role. Visual acuity encompassing close, distance, and peripheral vision, coupled with the ability to adjust focus, is indispensable. Additionally, the Crew Leader should possess the strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, utilizing abdominal and lower back muscles without succumbing to fatigue. Remarkable stamina is a prerequisite given the demanding nature of the role. Furthermore, it is pertinent to acknowledge that noise levels in work environments can be notably high.
