1. Pre-Emergant herbicides kill weeds before they are able to grow above the soil, and must be applied at the right time.  Should be applied during the Spring and Fall months.
2. Post- Emergent kill weeds that are already visible above the ground. Can be applied-2 times during the growing season.

Fertilization helps to keep your lawn healthy and green. Fertilization should be done at the right time of the year, and at the right amount to obtain even growth and to help prevent weeds and diseases. 

Fertilization Should be performed March-November 

The height and frequency that your Mowing can affect the lawns health and appearance. When Mowing you should never cut more than 1/3 of the length of the grass blades at a time. Cutting more than that can add tremendous stress to the lawn and allow weeds and disease to take over.

Watering is a necessity to maintain a healthy lawn in Florida. A properly watered lawn promotes a deep root system. shallow root systems can lead to an unhealthy lawn and erosion. Compacted soil needs to be broken up to periodically allow air and nutrients to reach the root system of your lawn. Core Aeration is the best way to break up the soil.

Aeration Should be completed between June-August.

Dethatching removes the thatch build up and allows water and nutrients to reach the soil. Thatch can prevent Fertilizers, Pesticides, and Herbicides form reach the soil. 

Dethatching should be completed once a year.

Flowering plants with big, bright blooms help fill space and draw the eye in. look for colors that complement or offset the shades of your home siding or stucco.

Create a border around Gardens and Flower beds. Using border material, bricks, or even rocks found around the yard. These can create an attractive border between the lawn and garden.

Creating a walkway using stone or bricks that compliment a houses exterior can go a long way. Replace worn out grass with a walkway or extend your living experience outside by adding a patio, it will make the outdoors fell like home.

Bring some life to your flower beds by adding Mulch. Mulch helps keep the moisture in the ground a block the suns harmful rays from burning the roots of your plants.
